Young entrepreneur donates $1000 to Tree House Books

With CEOs like Mark Zuckerberg dominating the world these days, people are very familiar with the “young entrepreneur” – but when people talk about teenage CEOs of companies these days nobody anticipates that they’ll be talking about a 13-year-old!

Anna Welsh, however, is turning the business world on its head in her local community of North Philadelphia while at the same time setting her sights on nationwide and eventually global dominance while running her company littlebags.BIGIMPACT.

Established in early 2017, this company has already sold thousands and thousands of handmade and high quality handbags and clutches (as well as eyeglass cases and change purses) made from recycled materials, and Anna is committed to giving back to the community that has helped her out so much with charitable donations to improve the literacy rate of the area.

More than 1500 children throughout Philadelphia have been able to take advantage of the philanthropy driven by this young entrepreneur, and recently Anna has donated $1000 to the Tree House Books on initiative alongside 1000 new and used books to help jumpstart afterschool reading programs.

Already the recipient of the Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award hosted by the Philadelphia Center for Advancing Entrepreneurs as well as awards from the National Association of Women Business Owners, Anna has set her sights on competing at the YEA National Competition in Rochester, New York while driving her business further into the stratosphere while giving back and improving her local community at the same time.
